President William Ruto has fired a new statement on the fate of the four dissenting independent electoral and boundaries commission (IEBC) commissioners led by vice chairperson Juliana Cherera, Irene Masit, Francis Wanderi, and Justus Nyang’aya.
In a late-night statement on Twitter, the head of state said that the fate of the four IEBC commissioners will not be determined by demonstrations by the opposition but by due process of the law. He said that the four tried to subvert the will of the Kenyan people.

In the statement, President William Ruto also hit out at Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga and told him that he should stop lying to himself. He pointed out that Raila Odinga lost the election even with the deep state and the system on his side.
“Even with the system/deep state you? Raila Odinga) lost the election. Stop deluding yourself and lying. The coup to overturn the people’s will using rogue commissioners … . You are now threatening us with maandamano. Their guilt or innocence will be determined by the tribunal. Rule of law it is,” he wrote.
