Nairobi Members of the County Assembly will finally be sworn in on Thursday, September 29, 2022.
“Notice is given to the general public and all elected and nominated Members of the County Assembly of Nairobi city that pursuant to Section 7(b) of the County Governments Amendment Act 2020 and standing order 4(1) of Nairobi City county Assembly orders, I Sakaja Aurthur Johnson Governor of the County Government of Nairobi appoint that the first sitting of the third Assembly shall be held at the assembly Chambers on Thursday 29, September 2022at 9:00 am,” the Gazette notice stated.
Sifuna waded in on the matter saying Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition is the Majority in the Assembly and that the delay which he termed as political, would not change anything.
He stated that no matter how long it takes, they (Azimio) will remain the majority.
“Nairobi is not an exemption of not having their first sitting and we begin our work. He should do it not later than this week,” he added.
