“The recent Sh94 million heist would not deter its operations,” Quickmart Kenya has moved in to assure customers, stakeholders and the general public.
In a statement, Quickmart further affirmed that as a reputable homegrown company, their business is safe as they insure their finances against such incidents.

They assured their customers that the occurrence would not deter their normal performance as their supermarkets would run as normal.

“We would like to ensure all our relevant relations that this occurrence will not disrupt our daily operation,” the statement reads.

“We remain dedicated to serving our customers and partners with the integrity and dedication that defines our brand.”

They further pointed out that investigative authorities were actively working to resolve the issue.

Police on Monday launched a manhunt for the two guards who were reported to have stolen Sh94.9 million to be delivered to a bank in Nairobi.

The money was from a vault belonging to the security firm in the Industrial Area and was to be delivered to a bank in the Central Business District when the incident happened at about 6 am.

The two, who were on board the company’s vehicle, had arrived at the vault as scheduled but left without police escort.

Police said the escort came to realise the vehicle with the money was missing minutes after it had left with the cash.
