You cannot stop us from church services, The deputy president tells Raila

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua says that they will continue going to church every Sunday. The deputy directed this massege to their critics who were concerned about the many times the Kenya Kwanza team led by President William Ruto attended church services.
This comes after the Azimio la Umoja leader spoke in church service in Mombasa claiming that churches are houses of worship and that it is in bad taste to discuss matters that are political to congregants who are only after spiritual nourishment.
Raila requested that politicians should desist from politicizing church services. He says churches should be strictly for prayers and that politics should be out of churches.
In response to that the Deputy President said “I have seen our distractors are very concerned that we come to church every Sunday. I read the papers and they said this is your 28th Sunday service since you came to office. I want to save them that task of counting, we will be in church for 52 Sundays every year, for the next 5 year.”
Gachagua continued by saying that William Ruto’s victory in the 2022 election was the result of prayers and that the President will obtain wisdom via prayer in order to guide the nation toward economic success.
The Kenya Kwanza administration will be in Nakuru for a National Prayer Day on Sunday, according to DP Gachagua.
Nakuru is significant because, in 2017, Uhuru Kenyatta and you (William Ruto) traveled there to pray for victory. You then vowed to go back to Nakuru if God granted you the victory. That never occurred after Raila took office on March 9 because he persuaded the former president that prayers are not necessary, the man claimed.
