AFC Leopards inched closer to winning their first official trophy since 2017 by edging out Shabana FC 1-0 in a Mozzart Bet FKF Cup match  at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu, on Sunday, March 31st, 2024.

The all-important goal was netted by Ingwe assistant captain Kaycie Odhiambo on his return from Malawi with the national team for the Big Cats to end Tore Bobe’s journey in the domestic cup.

With the win, the Leopards will clash against the Division One side Compel SC who defeated Mara Sugar 2-0 at the same venue to book a space in the quarter-finals.

Ulinzi Stars 1-2 Kariobangi Sharks

The 2018 FKF Cup champions Kariobangi Sharks rallied from a goal down to eliminate Ulinzi Stars 2-1 from the domestic cup competition at Police Sacco astro-turf grounds in Nairobi.

Issa Lumumba shot the soldiers into the lead with an early goal scored inside the opening 2 minutes with his long-range shot past the helpless Kariobangi’s goalkeeper Sebastian Wekesa.

Fortune Omotto levelled matters in the 20th minute before Sharks made their way  their through to the last eight in the 80th minute where they will clash against the winner between the 2019 FKF Cup semi finalists Assad and giant killers Denmark FC the team that dumped out Kenya’s record 20 times premier league champions Gor Mahia from the competition.
